Welcome to the dutch site of the Cathedral of Saint Bavo in Haarlem.
Although this is the only page of non-Dutch information we provide at this moment, we would be very happy to help you with any question concerning the Cathedral. You can ask you question by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please make sure that you are at the right site. Haarlem has (very confusingly) two Bavo-churches. This is the cathedral at the Leidsevaart. The ‘old Bavo’ is at the square town (Grote Markt) of Haarlem.
The Cathedral is open for tourists from Easter until the end of September, Sunday: 01.00 PM – 4.00 PM; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 11.00 AM – 4.00 PM (with a few exceptions). Closed on Mondays and Saturdays.
From April on there are Organ concerts every Saturday at 3.00 PM. The church is not open to visitors on Saturday, except during the (free) concerts (3.00 PM – 4.00 PM) and before and after mass.
Every weekday at 9.00 AM (except Mondays)
Saturday at 7.00 PM
Sunday at 10.00 AM (generally)
